Our bulk water operations supply approximately 20 million US gallons per day (USMGD) of desalinated water across island markets.
Water is delivered to public (government) and private entities for desalination and irrigation use under long-term performance-based contracts that include guarantees for:

Under this type of water supply agreement we design, build and finance a seawater desalination plant on the customer’s property that meets the customer’s specific water supply requirements. We own, operate, maintain and replace components of the plant during the term of the water supply agreement.
We guarantee the quantity and quality of the desalinated water delivered to the customer, and further guarantee the energy-efficiency and cost of the water (subject to typical inflationary adjustments) over the term of the water supply agreement. Typical operating periods for this type of water supply agreement are from 7 to 10 years.
Once the water supply agreement expires the ownership and operational responsibility of the plant automatically transfer to the customer.

Under this type of water supply agreement we design and build a seawater desalination plant for a fixed cost on the customer’s property that meets the customer’s specific water supply requirements. The customer typically pays for the fixed cost of the design and construction of the plant in accordance with an agreed payment schedule over the construction period with typical retentions until the plant has demonstrated that it performs in accordance with the requirements of the DBO agreement.
Upon the completion of successful performance testing, we operate, maintain and replace components of the plant during the remaining term of the water supply agreement. Typical operating periods for this type of water supply agreement are from 10 to 30 years.
We guarantee the quantity and quality of the desalinated water delivered to the customer, and further guarantee the energy-efficiency and cost of the water (subject to typical inflationary adjustments) over the term of the water supply agreement.

Under this type of water supply agreement we perform the same responsibilities as under the DBOOT model with the exception that the plant is sometimes built on land owned or leased by us and we retain ownership of the plant after the water supply agreement expires.
Typical periods for this type of water supply agreement are from 15 to 20 years.
We guarantee the quantity and quality of the desalinated water delivered to the customer, and further guarantee the energy-efficiency and cost of the water (subject to typical inflationary adjustments) over the term of the water supply agreement.
